So did this for a friend as a surprise. He's a photographer. Simple 8" round vanilla with vanilla buttercream. The camera is made from Rice Krispies. Never knew how many buttons were on those fancy cameras!!! And trying to write on them was even harder, so for all the experts out there this is not to scale, but the best this ole' girl could do. Had a blast doing this and to make it even better, he made a photo shoot for me. Now I'm the one who feels special. You can definitely tell which pics were mine and his. Thanks special friend!!!

Well this month has been the repeat for cakes. Another take on the jungle cake. They wanted it exactly like the other one I did. So basically the same. 9" round vanilla, 6" round chocolate with vanilla buttercream. All animals and palm trees were made from fondant. Smash cake was 6" vanilla with giraffe pattern. The weather was terrible this weekend and the day after I took these pictures the palm trees fell apart. I was able to salvage them but they became much shorter. I was pretty disappointed, but not much I can do about the rain. It was still a really cute cake!

Simple 8" round vanilla cake with vanilla icing. The roses I made from fondant. You can't see it in this picture, but I sprinkled the roses with pearl dust to give them a little shimmer.

My second camo cake. The icing on this one is vanilla and chocolate. The cake is orange flavored. The military star was cut from fondant. The letters I free handed in a military font.

Another Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The cake needed to have some of the same elements as the other one I did, but I still wanted it to be personalized for this little boy. Mickey mouse head is styrofoam balls covered in fondant. The foot and base of the house are rice krispie treats covered in fondant. The hand, small mickey mouse heads, stars and stripes are all fondant. I wanted the smash cake to tie together to the theme, so I made it look like the outside fence to the clubhouse. Long hours for this one, but worth it.

Dora the Explorer, Boots, Map and Issa. All very important characters for this cake. Map was handmade from fondant. The others were bought. Flowers were made from fondant. This one is going in my favorites. Its too cute!!!

Beach inspired grooms cake. 2 11 x15 chocolate poundcakes pushed together. The sand is graham crackers with brown sugar crushed. To make the initials show up a little better I crushed an oreo cookie to add a darker color. The shells are chocolate.

Glitzy girl party! I also matched the cake to the party supplies. The purse is a little different, but it turned out cute. I made the high heel shoe from gumpaste. The butteryfly, sunglasses, nail polish, and lipstick were made from fondant.

A simple 11 x 15 sheet that is vanilla with hot pink icing and black polka dots.

Hello Kitty cookie cake. I matched the napkins for the party. Kitty is all buttercream except for dress and shirt, and flower. Those I made from fondant.

50th birthday for a man who likes to joke and cut up. So hopefully he enjoyed the humor on him. 11 x 15 sheet with vanilla for one layer and chocolate for the bottom layer. All other decorations made from fondant/gumpaste. The motorcyle we got from the store, the little man I made from gumpaste. He was hard but for my first person, I thought I did pretty good. So I hope everyone enjoys!

Abby Cadabby cake. There is a number candle that goes on the top so that is why the purple curls are on top. The little abbys on the side were so cute. This is very girly and I love it.

Jungle theme with the monkey as the main theme. Palm trees accent the sides. I cut the animals out of fondant/gumpaste then used edible food markers to draw in the details. This one turned out better than I expected.

Vanilla cake carved in the shape of a 6. Just some girly colors with accents. High heel shoe, lips, purse, sunglasses and flowers all made from fondant.
