Really tried something new with this one. How about a Peanut Butter Buttercream icing!!!!! It was delicious. The filling was chocolate buttercream and the flowers were Petunias. At the end I had a little of the Peanut Butter icing and the chocolate icing left over so I mixed them. It may become one of my favorites, so I hope I get to do the Chocolate Peanut Butter Buttercream Icing again. It was yummy!

Well its been awhile since I posted anything new. I have been very busy and haven't been able to keep up. But I was very proud of this cake. This young man was being deployed to Iraq the monday after Easter. It was an honor to make something to represent him and how much his family loved and supported him. The sheet cake was a vanilla poundcake with vanilla buttercream. The Yellow Ribbon was a white cake with vanilla buttercream. The American flag, Army patch, dog tags, and banner were made from MMF. It turned out even better than I expected. The family was very excited and I was glad they gave me the chance to make something for such a special occasion.

Another class cake! There are 44 roses in all. They are all handmade with fondant. The cakes are vanilla on the 6" top and chocolate and strawberry on the 10" bottom. They are covered in fondant with small flower accents. This one took quite some time to put together. But would do it all over again. What do you think?

Star Wars cake for a 7 year old boy. The cake is vanilla with chocolate chips. The icing is chocolate buttercream with graham cracker crumbs for a sand look. The homestead house is made of rice krispies with marshmallow fondant. I wish I could say the figurines were handmade but they are not. This was a cool cake to work on especially the house. Really wanted to do the Stars Wars logo, but ran out of space.
